OLD FAITHFUL

Lay down your Stetson

And comb her mane.

Then stroke her gently

To ease the strain.

The day is done

The sun has set.

She needs her rest

For you, she`s done her best.

Her day has been long

You`ve both travelled far.

She`s carried you well

Beneath the midnight stars.

All she wants is a straw filled bed

Some fresh hay and oats

And a place to rest her head.

Breathtakingly gentle

Your faithful friend.

She carries you with her

To the journey`s end.

The night is cool

And the day has gone well.

She shows her love plainly

And always will.

Her big brown eyes

They sparkle bright

She`ll protect you always, with all her might.
