OLD FAITHFUL

Lay down your Stetson

And brush his mane.

Then stroke him gently

To ease the strain.

The day is done

The sun has set.

He needs his rest!

For you! he`s done his best.

His day`s been long

You`ve travelled far.

He`s carried you well

Beneath the midnight stars.

All he wants is a straw filled bed

Some fresh hay and oats

And a place to rest his head.

Breathtakingly gentle

Your faithful friend.

He carries you with him

To the journey`s end.

The night is cool

And the day`s gone well.

He shows his love plainly

And always will.

His big brown eyes

They sparkle bright.

And he`ll protect you always

With all his might.
