Poem -
Old Sam
Sami
we"re gettin old together,
You with furrowed fur,
Me with skin like leather.
Seen some sights
in our time,
Had our heartaches
Done some cryin'.
The garden keeps me busyish
Lookin' kinda nice,
You still do some huntin'
Do battle with field mice.
Funny, we do a stretch together,
Is that your bones or mine,
I hear them creakin',
Damn old father time.
Are you dreamin Sami
Your tail is twitchin'
Thats somethin else 'bout age
Always itchen.
Time for indoors now Sami,
Sun sinking in the west
Lets go have some dinner,
Then, we'll have another rest.

Sami is still chasing field mice...
That's a good thing...
My dog is getting older and she must have her 12 hours sleep or...
She turns into a bear...
She was raised with cats and she doesn't know she's a dog...
If she could meow I'm certain she wouldn't even bark...
Don't wake her when she's sleeping...
She gets an attitude...
I ask her...
Is it just me or would you be that way if a burglar woke you I asked...
She just looks at me stretches, yawns, and goes back to sleep...
I tell her...
That's about right...
I am here to protect you and you're the dog...
