On my own

On my own

How can life slip away
in the blink of an eye,
a childish smile
to be meant for someone else

How can love turn its back,
once was gold,
now is black,
grew us cold

How can all that you’ve given
not be seen, yet forsaken
without thought,
leave you empty

How can all, once so sweet
be now bitter,
leave me weep
on my own

Very deep and powerful write.  To read is to feel pain and emotion, very well written.

The emotion felt from this write, pulls the reader into the scene. Brilliant.
