Once before

Love

Each step was pure joy,
What did you do to me boy,
I endured the bad,
Even though it made me sad,
We ran through the rain,
Talked about the pain,
My heart would beat,
As we walked the street,
Sparks flowed through my blood,
It was like a flood,
Then she came back,
Then my heart went black,
You told me to leave,
I was stuck in disbelief,
I thought I had felt heartbreak,
It never compared to this ache,
You got it all for free,
You let go so carefree,
You have broken me.
