Thoughts Before

The tingling feeling in your brain,
It spreads to your arms,
To your chest,
To your legs,
To your very core,
You can feel your blood slowing down,
Feel your heart stopping,
I was kneeling,
I felt the rope tighten,
I felt a rush of dizziness,
I was about to fall,
I put my hands out to steady myself,
I then realized I want to die lying down,
I changed my position,
I thought of my family,
My parents finding my body,
My brother and sister hating me,
Hating me but upset I was gone,
Leaving my nieces and nephews,
They are so young,
I thought about how it would pass,
I decided to reach out,
Give someone a chance to save me,
I sat there waiting,
It was then that I decided,
I decided death was my fate.
