Once upon a Halloween"

Once upon a Halloween"

An ambience of pestilence
infiltrates the chilled night air
and purring by a pot a simmer
Moonlight glints on slits a shimmer

A black and fury Witches pet
tongue salivating at eye of newt
as coals glow in smouldering grate
and broomsticks tremor to witches sate

From the pot a stench of freshest death
Wing of bat and head of snake
tail of fox and rabbit feet
and lots of blood to keep the Devil sweet

Dancing in the haunting mist
conjuring the Satan's brew
chanting words of demented spell
raising the evil from pits of hell

Back in town excited children laugh
dressed in scary for trick or treat
Though should be careful on this night
and keep well out of Witches sight

For on every hundredth Eve of Halloween
a Coven does a Devil's bidding
from the steaming brew Demons rise
and a furry witness howls in shock surprise

Then through the dark the demons stream
to streets to catch all innocent prey
but can a humble cat save the night?
and for the greater good make things right

To send these demons back to Hell
spoil the enchanted brew at any cost
A Witches pet in self sacrifice
jumps in the pot for demons demise

So to the bravest blackest cat
that saved the Eve of Halloween
Praise its selfless Soul it gave
foiling Satan and all the children it did save!

             HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

                         Mwah mwah .......
