Poem -

One by One

Can I offer you my hand?  Just a gesture to show I am here. That I care about you more than life itself.
In this world so crowded I feel alone
Cast off and unwanted.  I need to be important to someone.  That if I was gone it would be noticed.  It would cause at least an inquiry.   I feel such overwhelming love for you and your chain of happenings.  For your misdirected advice.  I feel the huge silence where your breath would form.  I felt we had a connection. That the random had become ordained by divine order.  Tonight I will seek comfort in your sweater wrapped about me and watch the waves.  One by one.
