One For The Ages

In the annals of football history, when progeny reads the pages;
They will talk about the New England Patriots, a team for all the ages!
In eighteen years, six championships, a feat that never has been done;
With Belichick and Tom Brady, their dynasty begun!

Yesterday was unbelievable, both defenses played out of sight;
The first half, not one touchdown, they showed their awesome might!
The Patriots scored only a field goal, but the Rams were scoreless at its end;
When the second half of the game began, a message did they send!

They deftly got a field goal, and their defense held us to zip;
But then came the fourth and final quarter, the Patriots got their grip!
They marched hard and got a touchdown, then leading ten to three;
The Rams tried quick to answer them, but it was not to be!

Goff threw an interception, the Pats at their own four yard line;
Again, they marched down and scored a field goal, the clock ran out of time!
So there they stood in history, the greatest team ever known;
Something we will never see again, right from “The Twilight Zone”
