One Night She Played the Violen

I was suddenly hearing the music of the violin
Breaking the silence of four in the morning
In the darkness I found your naked silhouette
straddling a chair from the dining room set
your raven hair covered with moonlight glow;
like angels were listening outside your bay window
I felt every movement of your hands and bow
transfixed I became, by your one woman show
music stopping, playing, then starting again
scratching a melody, you just caught in the wind
and even more beautiful to me, you became
O breathless mystery, wordlessly, I did declare
they is no one like this, she is 'woman, most rare'

A glorious tribute to musicians, the escapism of being lost in the beauty of music, and the sense of being transfixed by its origin !
A truly wonderful piece !
:) Wishing you all the best !
Hey sister Cherie, thank you for your comments (easily the best on this site) I appreciate it very much that you comment on the poem, instead of me; I know I'm an ok poet, and as long as I continue to improve, I'll keep posting....I was trying to show a 'contrast'...the narrative is surprised by this seemingly unusual behaviour, and yet he is amazed as well by the sudden revelation....wow intelligent commentary makes these interactive sites a real treat to be on, thanks again...have great evening
Richard, terrific comment my friend; you make me look at the write in a different way thank you...'lost in the beauty of music' so well said....I wish you all the best as well....have a great evening
:) Your writing is always so interesting ! Keep up the good work !
Flower! happy you like this one, honestly I can never tell what will be liked or not by the readers; one of the reasons I still post poetry, I find that 'fun' in a morbid way; not knowing for sure if anything will be read, I'm a big fan of yours as you well know, so you liking something I post takes away the 'guilt' lol, hey have a great evening my friend....thanks for saying all those nice things, I do appreciate....
Beautiful write Christopher! Enjoyed from start to finish.
Wow, bravo! I don't always read love poems but when I do...Chrisopher never fails to impress! "Your raven hair all covered with moonlight glow" priceless, this was vivid descriptive and just all around beautiful, all stars
CO
CO, where you been my friend? (lol I don't generally spend much time on here lately either) it's good to see you though....what's this you don't always read 'love poems' ...me neither actually, sure this is a 'love poem' but it ain't 'flowery' enough to make the eyes roll lol; in my opinion... I don't like reading or writing those, that is not necessarily 'bad' poetry, but I 'generally' don't 'feel' them, but to each his or her own....hey brother glad you enjoy the poem, and I really appreciate the encouraging comment as well....have great day
Christopher this was amazing! The subtle beauty in this i love it. I read it a few times just an incredible write brother. Well done. A favorite.

Thanks Ceniqua, you can indeed...it's so funny, when I wrote this poem I didn't like it all that much, but by posting it I kinda sorta have warmed up to it, so thank you for the kind message...lol...I've always felt that this is a good testing ground for poetry, looking forward to reading your posts, talk soon...I messaged you and it got erased with one word left; lol I'm steaming now....ttyl
thank you for encouraging comment, Anne...wow, I need to get off my arse... and start posting some poems, lol... and hopefully get some more comments like this...cheers, my friend, have a good evening
Susan, wow it's been too long...and you have a great memory, I wrote this one about 3 years ago, posted it on here but, lol...due to an unfortunate misunderstanding it may have been misplaced, but Chris keeps all the originals of his work, and due to his generous spirit he will on occasion donate a copy to his favourite poetry site...lol, so in other words; yes this is an edited version of that one of 3 years ago...hey it really is good to hear from you, and thanks for, first of all remembering the poem, and your encouraging comment as well, your 'forever friend' appreciates it very much, talk soon, thanks again kiddo
you are too kind my friend, thank you....when a reader enjoys a poem written by me, honestly there is nothing more worthwhile...cheers PT
Superb piece Christopher, love the violin as one of my fav instruments to listen to. You pen this so very well, blessings, Gordon
blessing to you as well, Gordon, I'm really in appreciation of your feedback; to be honest this is not one of my favourite poems that I've posted on this site, I like it but it's just 'okay' for me, but I do intend to publish a book on poetry in a year or two, so being on a poetry site really opens my eyes as to what other eyes like or dislike; very educational....appreciate, my friend...
Hello, Christopher! I like this piece, it is moments caught in the early morning, and your writing is so descriptive! So far, with what I've read from you, you are a master of description! I am going to read the "Island of Fogo (sic)" again, was so drawn to it!
thanks for commenting, Susan, glad you enjoyed
absolutely gorgeous. your musings take my breath away.
