One Of The Lucky Ones

The days are getting shorter and shorter

But my love of life's getting stronger

Autumn reminds me we're all much closer

With the winter of our lives to ponder

Recalling a lifetime filled with passion

Our memories are ingrained in our soul

The happy, the sad, the joy, the pain

These things that have made us all whole

Reflecting on my life, I can honestly say

There are very few things I would change

A lifetime filled with love and happiness

Pushed regrets to the back of my brain

How come I'm one of the lucky souls

Whose life's been blessed with such love

Will no longer question it, accept my fate

It outshines all else above
