Poem -

Only sometimes

Sometimes I wish I could write in the dark
You know, where the nightmares are born
Sometimes I wish I could extinguish the spark
And reveal to you the masks I've worn

Sometimes I wish I could relive the emotion
That consumed me in my darkest hour
Sometimes I wish I could relive the commotion
Show you I was but a dying flower

Sometimes I wish I could show you the light
Didn't always radiate from my soul
It was there if I looked deep in the night
Only now do I see that I AM whole

Being Me

Wow!  This is beautifully deep. This is soul searching stuff. We are all a mixture of light and dark and the seas we sail are sometimes stormy. But we sail on through to  better days. Love this ⚘x

Brilliant write Shelley. Honest and interesting because only by knowing the dark can we ever know to look for the light x

Wow Shelly. Dark and thoughtful write. I do agree with the other comments. Questioning ourselves, deep thinking and soul bearing stuff is how we learn to move forward. Brill write. Px
