Only Time Will Tell

While I was growing up, I had a friend who became a movie star.
Some say what he did was okay but I know that he went too far.
He ended up ruining my life.
The jerk ran off with my wife.
My wife was the love of my life but he didn't care.
It just goes to show that life can be cruel and unfair.
He came to my house when he visited our home town.
I'm alone and miserable because she's no longer around.
He has what I can't have, he has fortune and fame.
That wasn't good enough and now I curse his name.
Even though he had it all, he had to have my wife as well.
I may get over it some day, only time will tell.
She divorced me and married him and I hope both of them will rot.
If you're wondering if I will ever forgive them, I sure as hell will not.
