Only today

If I only had today,
I would tell you,
My life is fuller with you in it.
If I only had a moment ,
In you arms is where I would spend it.
Our life has been filled with struggle and strife
But in the midst we created three lives.
Our children not mistakes but our loves  reflection.
The evidence of a life of our hearts affections.
The chaos at times threatens to defeat us,
But in those times Christ has run to meet us.
His goodness for us he has always intended,
What is broken in us He wants to see mended.
If I only had today I would say,
I have never regretted when you came my way.
Though tough it has been many hardships endured,
The beauty in our marriage will remain treasured.
If I only had this moment I would thank our Lord,
For every memory of our lives together,
For loving you for knowing you my husband my person forever.
