Tiffany and Emma

We laid you both to rest,
In caskets of white,
Surrounded by bouquets of roses,
Your favourite colour blue.
The flowers a display of our love,
A symbol of our last embrace,
The only way to put our arms around you.
The memories of you flooded our hearts,
As tears flowed freely from our eyes.
We said farewell as the words " Have Thine Own Way" were carried on the wind.
Your mother sat weakened with sorrow,
Your brothers fighting their own emotions to keep her comforted.
Your beloved found strength to carry you to the grave.
There you were buried but not alone,
Your baby girl rested upon you,
Like the day you brought her into the world.
The earth lost some of its beauty that day,
Yet we are not left only with pain,
We are left with the promise,
That we will see you again.
Until we meet on that great day,
Your memory has left us,
With the will to love fervently.
Your faces have not faded,
The grave is not your final resting place,
For it has been conquered,
You are not forgotten,
You will both remain loved,
Until we meet again.
