OOH RAH!!!

OOH RAH!!!

Three cheers for the GOP Congressmen, who shoved it up your ass;

They told you that their vote was “No”, your “Trumpcare” could not pass!

Last night I watched an interview, you said “I thought they were my friends”;

But now we know you have very few, your enemies now make amends!

The lies you told to win the race, have come out in plain sight;

America’s new Pinocchio, your nose grows larger every night!

You make statements that are blasphemy, expect your subjects to bow down;

But reverence is reserved for “Blessed Ones”, not Donald Trump the Clown!

Seeds of change now fast approach, the handwriting is on the wall;

For instead of uniting our dear Country, you divide and make it fall!

This was the first defeat of many more, that are headed straight your way;

The best will be the final one, when we end your White House stay!

Hi  Larry I watched this on the news last night
I  don t  know much about Obamacare but believe it to be a good thing
health insurance for many,
What i took from the news was  they did nt go to the vote, Trump pulled out minutes
before they were due to vote because he had no support
Your poem spells  out your feelings on the debacle
with  satire,in  a well versed piece
Love n hugs Debs xox

My Dear Debs,

I will tell what yesterday's events mean.  They were the most crushing defeat for a new President in the history of the United States.  To think that Republican Congressmen stood up to him, and said "No" to Trumpcare, is the beginning of his end of his stay in the White House, for it is rumored that the FBI has positive proof of his collusion with Putin, to influence the outcome of the election.  Last night on the Bill Mahr show they were talking Impeachment and Treason.  Thank you for supporting me through this horrible time in U.S. history.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

P.S.  We are so sorry for the "terrorist" attack on the Westminster Bridge and Parliament.  Be strong.

Larry, my beloved & triumphant friend...

a sword of honour
will not cleave that heart in twain
the knives must come out

This is a spectacular and fitting defeat for the "Commander in Brief" (the title of the above haiku), but it is by no means the first...or last. Judging by what I saw on MSNBC last night, I'm beginning to think that the twerp will have to be impeached before the end of his first term. You & I joke around about your "seditious" poetry...but the truth is that it's looking more and more like Trump (or others on his behalf) committed several acts of treason in order to help him win the election!!

For instead of uniting our dear Country, you divide and make it fall!

You're right...Trump is a divisive figure; viciously so, in fact: but take heart my friend...America still stands...a little dazed from her recent experiment in tyranny, perhaps...but she still stands.

your friend & fan,

J ;)

My Dear Friend Jason,

As you "stand" by me in this hour of my nation's greatest peril, it is unbelievable how you honor it with your "undivided" attention.  We oft times banter, yet now we turn to the other side of the coin, "reality".  I "take heart", from your beautiful soul, that protects mine with an amazing aegis.  His tyranny is the portent to his treason.  Soon, he will be made to pay for his transgressions.

Peace and Love, my Brother,

o Larry, if ever a man did understand surely it is thou!  Politics and vice; uncovers the soul of a poet like nothing else.  My friend we live in perilous times, where 'games' are played with stakes higher than we can ever truly know.   At first I deemed it all a 'joke' when this man struck a cord (to me a comedy he did evoke) but now my friend, we see history unfolding before our very eyes, my gawd we live in such perilous times....thank you Larry for giving me clarity and normalcy with your brilliant point of view, your words are a balm to my broken heart, this is not 'America' and even the Republicans (sober minded ones) know that the 'king has no clothes' and maybe, my friend, the 'system' has proven itself to be more powerful than the sum of its' parts, we can but hope....any way my political poetic oracle,

'OOH RAH!!!'  indeed, God  bless America and the words of Larry Ran!

My Dear Brother Poet Chris,

Your amazingly kind words have taken my breath away and sent chills up and down my spine.  You honor me far beyond that which I think I deserve, but I humbly accept your praise.  You are a man of extreme passion, which overflows in this write.  Your summation of our dire situation here in America is spot on, for I don't think many people, including Republicans, ever thought he would get the nomination to run.  What started out, like you said, as a hilarious comedy, has become a drama of the utmost foreboding.  I love your line " the 'system' has proven itself to be more powerful than the sum of its' parts".  This "political poetic oracle", has just been joined by another.

OOH RAH!!! right back.  God Bless You!

Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

Our Dear G,

From your mouth, to God's ears.  We will start with his impeachment, then proceed on to his trial for high treason.  God blesses America with her dear English Soulmate.

We love you too,

Linda and Larry xxx
