Orchid in Spring

You draw me near like a rich dark cherry
Drops of rain entice
Your violet luminescence
Can melt the coldest ice
I hear your speckled petals
Singing to the bees
I sense your dancing lobes
Listening to the trees
I rare gem unataining
I dare not take a pick
Fine perfume I enhaling
As you hang off green so chic
You're as real as I imagine
And can be nothing more
Tomorrow when you wither
The world shall be made poor

So glad you enjoyed it Jim 😁
SHALOM
I've pinned so far 37 poems, me being no expert, but, I pinned one of Tony's the other day and this one ranks with it, and those, as one of the best I've ever read! I have found the truth that I always wanted, however, to achieve a level of writing that I've seen here on the Funnel would be another worthy goal! Thank you for sharing!............Jim
