Our Guardian Angel

Our Guardian Angel

by Stephanie Ann Gulliford

We do not stand by your grave

We do not weep

We your children are brave

We know you are in a peaceful sleep

We kneel there and do not cry

We remember you under the blue sky

We know God needed to take you away

To be our guardian angel when we stray

We know when we get stressed

You look down and say My children be blessed

We know when the sun is bright

You look down and smile in your wings of heavenly white

You raised us to be strong

To help us when the days are long

You know in our hearts there's love

Brought to you on the wings of a spiritual dove

Thanking you for your love
