Our Heavenly Friend

Our Heavenly Friend

by Stephanie Ann Gulliford

From the clouds up above

Our Mother is looking down with love

She raised us kids through the years

She has seen our many tears

When we laid her to rest

We knew heaven was getting the best

She left us four much to soon

We see her smile in the moon

We know why God had to say

"I need her to become an angel today"

God needed her in the sky

He did not mean to make us cry

God didn't leave us alone in the end

Our mother is our special heavenly friend

She knows we think of her everyday

In our hearts she hasn't gone away

She does not want us to weep

Now that she is in her peaceful eternal sleep
