Our New Friend Leland

We have met a special person, a man of great renown;
A retired College History Professor, well known around the town!
The moment we began to talk, the was an instant chemistry;
Our hearts and Souls then bonded, forever will they be!

His given name is Leland, like ours, it starts with “L”;
We’ve formed a strong triumvirate, our thoughts and feelings gel!
We see him twice a week now, at a venue very posh;
We sip fine wine and eat gourmet food, delicious drink and nosh!

His mind is very brilliant, he has travelled far and wide;
Our conversations are of great depth, in each other we confide!
It has been wonderful to know him, the past six months or so;
But our friendship is just getting started, so many more years to go!
