Poem -
Our Secret
The yellow boat lays there,
So delicate in mind,
It tosses back and forth,
Like a pendulum in time.
The fish all swim together,
Make pretty patterns too,
Their scales are multicoloured,
Their fins are cobalt blue.
The horses of the sea,
They gallop to the beach,
They look across the waters,
To see what they might meet.
The merpeople glid so gently,
Through the coral reef,
What creatures it may hold,
Are all hidden underneath.
Now, this is our secret,
Lock it with a key,
For no one to know,
Just you and me.

This write brings its title to life quite beautifully..... in a VERY creative fairytale-like style and tone...... it has a kind of charming naivete' to it that gives it even more poetic appeal as well...but for me.......the very first stanza is absolutely brilliant!!..."
