Our Ultimate Destination

Journey of the Soul

Our Ultimate Destination

Something I wrote as a result of when my gran passed away a few years ago. She was a very sociable, strong willed, spiritual person whom I miss dearly.
I gained a better understanding about the self and death through the scriptures in my culture growing up from my own challenges in life. Even more applicable now when people may require a higher knowledge and a peace of mind about their own lives, worries or situations.
We are all energies and here is my insight on the journey of the soul. May you keep it safe and well always. With love Pratibha x

Our ultimate destination as humans is to leave this world for the final time and to never be reborn again (moksha)
To never experience the cycles of birth, disease, old age and death
And be completely liberated from this
To be in the spiritual plain of existence as the ever-lasting soul that you are
With no attachments to material existence
No matter your background, faith or religion
This is the ultimate goal
For many it will take lifetimes before they reach this point
Your activities and desires (law of karma) will determine your next life
Then there will be the few that know
And will be in tune with their spiritual self
To reach this higher purpose
And be liberated from the birth, disease, old age and death cycle forever
The Bhagvat Gita can guide us on this path of one's self
The knowledge exists and is already out there
For those that seek it
With all the anxieties and stresses of living in the material world
We are most content when our spirit soul is satisfied
And we have a balanced mind with our material shell
You are always whole
Never broken no matter what people see on the outside
Your body will perish
But the soul (you) lives on forever
The most important thing you can do
Is to nourish your spirit soul
Acquire balance and a peace of mind within you
Live positively, be kind, true and embrace good qualities
In order to reach this ultimate destination

Hi Greg. This must be the most words you have written to me!! Thanks for reading and comments. I will look them up. I do not worry about things anymore, a lesson I learnt from my own challenges as a young adult. We just need to happy in ourselves and keep a positive outlook on our daily life. I am very pleased you have found inspiration about life and living. Take care Px

A Lonely Journey

Hi Pratibha,
Thank you for that. It seems like I spend half my life obsessing over what I've done wrong in life to be so miserable, and I think a lot about the afterlife, and the world, and existence, and I love to read different views. I like yours. It seems pretty viable. Sometimes life is such a struggle that it feels like you've been trudging along this harrowing path for many lifetimes.
You have a wonderful mind, and soul.
Great, thinking, write.
Thanks,
Matthew.

I had to Pin it, so I could look back at it. M.

Hi Matthew. Thank you for the comments and pin! I am so pleased it meant something to you too. In the indian culture we believe that you go to a better place and even more so better that you stay there in that bliss rather than having to take birth again and do it all over again and the constraints of the material world. Anyway the main thing is their is a higher power in play whatever background or religion and their are many similarities across all faiths. In the end its always about being spiritual. Stay happy. I love what you have written here because after years of 'chasing' 'things' and situations or people i believed would make me happy...you know what??  I now find the greatest joy in the small free moments and things and I also believe we are so much more than the physical and that there is a great great chatter in the silence but we can only hear it with our souls Pratibha, regardless of religious beliefs, should we choose to listen. I have stopped chasing or expecting anything and in this I have found I have been given lifes truly great riches..and none of them cost a penny.  I have pinned this to read again my friend...thanks for sharing ?

Hi Marion. Thank you for reading and commenting and the pin. I am pleased you can relate. Yes the little things in life are always the best. Being happy within ourselves is the way to have that balance and spiritual awareness. What I wrote may be written from our scriptures but its applies to anyone wishing to understand, no religion is ever mentioned because spirituality is not about religion. Its about the individuality and soul. And we are a soul. Keep enjoying the little things and be happy. The best way to be in life. Px

This is really good Pratibha, very to the point,  it’s really good how you really express your journey as well at the beginning and your connection and your conclusion I love the depth.
well done very good

By expressing yourself as deep as you have
It’s given you clarity . And are able to move forward appreciating every moment in life. With so much gratitude

Hi Swati. Thank you so much for the comments. Yes its been a journey understanding the self and getting peace of mind when we are surrounded by material things and we need to remind ourselves how there is a part of you that needs nourishing too that is not materialistic. Glad you liked my write. I will see you soon. Love Px

Pratibha this is deeply moving and from the heart. When someone passes it is our belief that ultimately helps us carry on. I found it really interesting as I believe death is merely just another transitional stage that we go through. A great peice of writing. We wasn't more like this. Please x

Hi Saf. Thanks so much and for the pin. Totally true we start questioning and look at life when things happen to us and require a peace of mind or understanding so we can continue with peace. I will try my best but I think this is probably the only deep spiritual piece I will have. Maybe lighter ones one day maybe possible to write. Keep writing saf and see you soon Px

“peace of mind”
Goal of all coping mechanisms.
Existence/life is mind numbing. Religion’s designed to offer answers, “peace of mind”. No religion has the answer, knows what’s really going on, but can help deal with the sheer madness of it.
Great write.

Thank you kindly John. Yes spiritual knowledge can help deal with life and struggles they are there to inspire from. Faiths all have similar crossovers in messages and wisdom. We can embrace it all.
Have a lovely day

Hi Greg. Thank you for sharing. Losing anyone close is hard and our emotions take over instantly. I totally understand how you must have felt and feel now.
Thank you for taking time to read this spiritual piece and I'm pleased you liked it and maybe it helped you. Not had chance to post anymore since. Been busy with my first poetry book. But will post again soon. Take care. Px ?

Such fine, poetically delivered advice, PRATIBHA!!
I have spent many years searching for answers all over the world.....and I came across many wonderful experiences in pursuit of it.....but ultimately we find those answers within ourselves.....through the kind of principles taught by books like the Bhagavad Gita or the Vedic texts.....or culturally profound books like the Bible......or other improbable or extreme means.......wherever we find it ......it ALL leads to the same thing.....to the same place.......and you have certainly expressed (quite beautifully here) the path to that Ultimate Understanding..... your pen is a mighty pen......the subject matter you choose to write about....to convey poetically to others..... are truly fine choices.....and I am proud to know you dear poet sister!!.......ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!......Bravo!!........LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo  : )
