Painful Love

If you love me,
Then why do you hurt me
The way you do?

When we're out in public
You act as sweet as can be,
The perfect guy, if you please.

But when we're alone,
When all doors are closes,
That's when it starts.

You beat me until I
Start to bleed
I scream out for you to stop

But, of course, you don't.
When your done beating me,
You rape me.

I want to leave
But you say that if I ever do,
You will hunt me down,

And beat me until I'm dead.
So I stay
Thinking that getting beat

Over and over
Is better then dying
But it's not.

I need to get help.
I start to crawl towards the door
I hear the familiar thud of your boots

I knew I shouldn't
Have tried to get away
I hear the oh so familiar

Whoosh of your belt as
It whips through the air
It hits me once, twice, three times

I close my eyes for the last time
The fourth time, it's all over
At least for me.
