Silver Moonlight

As the silver moonlight
Danced across their skin
She felt a twinge of regret

Why did she all of a sudden
Think that it was wrong for her
To have left him?

She didn't love him
So why did she feel
So bad?

Because it wasn't like her, she realized
But nothing she had been doing
Was like her

The old her was long gone
She had been gone for awhile
She ignored the nagging voice in the

Back of her mind
And went back to the moment
She was in a meadow

Their meadow
She pulled back and looked at her
Then she remembered why she left him.
