PAINS OF THE HEART

PAINS OF THE HEART
When the sun goes down
And the night is still
I cry myself to sleep.
Beneath sheets of white
And pillows soft as the cloud
I cry myself to sleep.
My love is gone
I know not where
I cry myself to sleep.
It hurts so bad
Words cannot compare
So I cry myself to sleep.
O that the reservoir of my tears
May cease to flow
And let me be at peace.
But one thought of you
And I begin to weep
Tonight, I will cry myself
To sleep.
