Painting In A Museum

Painting In A Museum

Painting In A Museum
Breaking your heart trying to repair my own
just know I apologize for loving you wrong
you gave me a ton of love; I had a lust for you
giving you false statements to believe my truth

Happy days overshadowed by dark nights
revenge is the grievance to make it right
those shoes seem to fit the wrong feet
hurting you, I realized I only abused me

Planting a seed hoping you would grow on me
to sprout and become the perfect shade tree
there is no sunshine in tropical storms
only a damaged soul that leaves me torn

No care in the world for the tears you shed
you put your heart into me, but now my soul is dead
breaking your heart into pieces was the start
for another man forming you into the perfect art
