Panicking

Do you remember
as a child
being in a store
with your mom
and do you
recall the
feeling
you had
when you
got
lost?
A rush
of adrealine
feels the
veins
fear
overwhealms
you
then
Panic!
When your
mom
finally
found
you
the
peace
and
calmness
restored
brought
such
relief
A similiar
incident
happened
years
ago
with
this writer's
dog
"Nana"
Our elderly
dog
got
out
of our gate
and went
for a walk
Because of
her age
Her memory
would not
allow
her to
remember
how to
get home.
When I found
her 2 blocks
away
her facial
features
showed
she
was
Panicked
Once
I called
her
and she recognized
me
calmness and relief could
be seen
in her eyes............
Fear, Panic,
Calmness, and
relief
are emotions
that can be
seen in
all of God's Creatures
and I think
they are
provided
to us
for
survival......................

Hello Greg...
No, my Mother would be the one who was lost, screaming my name through the store and you could hear her a block away, I'd have to find her so she'd calm down...
Glad you found Nana...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing..
Hugs...

Sparrowsong it was so sad ? with Nana. I think she had a dog form of Alzheimer’s before she died. We loved her though. Thank u for reading
I understand...
I've had to look for mine and so many things go through your mind...
Kids are quick too, like little Magicians, one minute they're right there and the next hey where did they go?
Heart goes a mile a minute...
I wondered if they were testing me to see if I'd have a heart attack...
Nope, Mom's heart is still good, couldn't get her yet...
?
nice write built in characteristics i once wondered off when my parents to me on a vacation to block island i can still recall there suprize exspressions upon finding me

thank u
It was an horrible feeling getting lost in the shop ? good write
thank u
I like the way you showed your fear of being lost and then to the fear of
loosing someone or something. There is such a relief when found even if your mom is griping at you or you are mad at the dog. You poem is telling me that there is always a hand or voice to take you home.
Thanks bro
