Poem -

Parasitic

Steal my essence
Steal my essence
Stole my essence
Oh So incessant.

Why don’t you vanish from the face of the earth
Been detrimental since the moment of birth

Crept in my bed in the dead of the night
Jolted awake by a series of bites
Flip on the lights, you scurry out of my sight
I’m
Such a fool for trusting a parasite

She only visits when the weather is warm
Nothing unique, she’s merely one in the swarm
She gives me kisses but is showing no love
By the time I noticed she was off with my blood
Another comes but now I know the dance
I make my move, now both our blood’s on my hands

But was it worth it? What a selfish purpose.

I eat and eat but I can’t get my fill
Why do you piggyback off my every meal?
Im frail and sickly, slowly one of your kills
Meanwhile you thrive off the things that you steal

You’re always the victim until it’s your time to
Boast
Scum of the Earth; I’m no longer your host.
