Part 4. I Bore your Child

You came to me at midnight,
You told me to obey.
You tore my rags, cast them aside,
And showed me where to lay.
You took me as it was your right,
You took me as a child.
You took me so to ease your need,
My body left defiled.
You came to me most every night,
And took pleasure from my pain.
You came inebriated,
For me to entertain.
You boasted of your conquest,
And planted in your seed.
And when your appetite tired of me,
You left me there to breed.
I have a new brown baby,
I’ve seen no child like this
Half you half me, half-dark, half-light.
But now she does exist.
She will not know her father,
He’ll not hold her in embrace.
She will not look into his eyes,
And find kindness in his face.
She will not know her siblings,
She will not know her kin.
She will not have too many,
With the mixture of her skin.
She will not sit at your table,
As your other children do.
I bore you a child Mr,
Tell me what is she to you.
