Poem -

part alive part dead.

Part reality partly dreaming
That this life is something grand,
Holding onto emptiness
These bone decreped hands,
You slipped through my fingers
Like glass shards and
endless sand,
In silence I deteriorate
A ghostly condemned command,
Hollow on the way to fulfilment
Outta reach for the taking
A pile of beautiful mess,
this torment is making
A rodents homily nest
Picking apart the shadows
Leaving behind the best
The best part of me which was you
Part alive part dead
If only to take away this feeling
Leaving an empty heart instead.
