Part I - Fallen

Designed with harmonious perfection,
an exquisitely crafted garden,
the Master's work of epic proportion
with no apparent flaws to pardon.
From just one tree that existed
any partaking was forbidden...
but once eating of its fruit,
utopia would be overridden.
Drawing them in by invisible force,
poised to ensure serenity's destruction,
the apples perched amidst the branches...
ruby dollops of sin's seduction.
Temptation trumped all sense of reason,
falling prey to the devil's deception-
consumed entirely by selfish desires
giving false words a welcomed reception.
For mere temporary satisfaction,
pure innocence was destroyed,
triggering a future series of events
and unleashing evil to avoid.
With the taste still alive on their tongues,
human sinfulness came into plain view;
such major consequences ensued
from the actions of only two.
Was this the start of mankind's demise
or an opportunity for sacrifice?
Despite their state of grace now fallen...
Jesus would pay the ultimate price.

Dear poet sister JACKI !!.....my apologies for not being around more..... for surely I've missed some awesome creations from your amazing mind & pen..... judging by this write I'm sure it's true!!......I love how you dance between the raindrops of "The Garden Eden" here...,,, speaking directly to Adam and Eve's shortcomings and the drama they draped over us all..... at least from the biblical point of view..... and as a poet.....I respect GREATLY we you've accomplished here..... the ultimate questioning ......and the VERY poetic posing of those questions..... personally......I don't believe it was the beginning of our demise...... but certainly the beginning of our self-aware individuality...... because before that moment..... we didn't need clothing......I am NOT a believer in the BIBLE'S unique status...... I believe that ALL cultures and peoples have their own foundations and means of finding their own way to the Godhead ......but being of Catholic upbringing .....I beg you..... don't tell my mother what I've said here!!..... smiles...... awesome write....VERY creative!!......ALL STARS!!......LOVE and ROCKETS!!.......T xo ?☀✴✳♥
