To Part is to Sunder

To Part is to Sunder

It is two halves of a whole that binds the soul --
Two parts: a pair of hearts and similar hopes and dreams.
I have long been that there was no cure,
But no more is this how it seems.
It is no wonder why I felt my soul would sunder
From my body with a bond so thin.
It was when I saw I had no incurable flaw-
Only, a missing part within.
