PAUL THE EARTHWORM

 
At the bottom of my garden he was first spotted
I immediately was hooked and besotted 
He uses his skin to live and to breathe 
Once I saw this lovely earthworm I was not going to leave

This earthworm has no ears to hear or eyes to see
However he is much prettier than that buzzing bee
I've been told he will live on average for at least three years 
I have to be careful mowing my lawn with sharp shears 

Earthworm I'm going to name you Paul 
For you are the finest creature of them all
