Paulina

Paulina

Paulina, what are you looking for?
So long have I been here for you
I know your soul is full of troubles
What is there in my power to undo?
.
Paulina, I breathe your name
My feelings of love are pure
only you can  ignite my flame
Is my love just a one way door?
.
Paulina, make me a handful of sand
To build your house of happiness
I ask for nothing, you hold the plan
Your contentment will be my wages
.
Paulina, give me your world to carry
My hands were made for work like this
But, whatever you do is whatever will be
My words you can keep or simply dismiss.

Thanks my poetic sister from  down under, I swore to myself that I won't redo one of my 'oldies' but was looking through my 2013 folder and came upon this one; just had to change the name, still surprisingly hard for me to read; weird

Appreciate the comment, Mirela....it's an old poem I came across and decided to post, I don't want to write another one like this, and hopefully I never will, glad you liked it my friend, cheers

Hey thanks, Williamsji, glad you like this old time poem; to me anything older than a week is 'old' and this one is about 2 years old, very appreciative of your comment, my friend

Thanks Cherie, very kind of you to say all that, my hands are shaking as I write (big Wrestle Mania fan just finished watching on pay per vies) oh this write was written for a woman I thought I was madly in love with, it's old (almost 2 years) originally had her name on it, what can I say sis. we live and learn in this life, and hopefully make better decisions as we do, I try my best to never get personal in poetry, but with this one maybe I'm simply trying to face my demons head on, who knows....not really sure why I posted it to be honest, perhaps I'm learning to share, I'll probably delete it before too long though, don't like seeing it, but I do appreciate the encouraging words thank you

Oh wow Chris, I absolutely love this, such a beautiful write. I can literally feel the yearning desire felt as you wrote these words down. You are one talented poet my friend, that desire to light a lover's inner fire is definitely alive in this poem. You have earned my five star vote as well as favorite again, my friend. Keep it up I love your work

Sincerely
