Perfect

Perfect

If we lived in a perfect world,
Who would you be?
How would our lives change,
And would we still be free?

Will we be like dead robots,
Unable to disagree?
Will we be like the birds,
Soaring, flying free?

How would you shape your life?
Would we still be the same?
Will our goals still matter as much?
Or will they be of shame?

Would we still want to be doctors?
To be lawyers, and be nurses,
Or would we become artists,
And singers, or without a purpose?

Will money still be worth as much?
Will beauty be deemed as average?
Will we still ponder and argue?
And be lacking virtue and courage?

We probably would all change ourselves,
Within our eyes, it’s all imperfect,
But to what extent?
And when will you stop?
Can everything really be perfect?
