Perfection
Perfection is a lie
Something society will abide by
As we stand in shock
Lost behind the padlock.
Perfection is null and void
Leaving me dull and destroyed,
As she walks away,
And I am lost in dismay.
Perfection is inconceivable
But others think it’s believable
There is nothing perfect
Especially the ones you reject.
Perfection is a disease
But we are just ill at ease,
We are lost to the confusion
And the perfect delusion.

We reflect our souls bare upon people in hopes of exception, some reject for fear you over shadow their light with yours, its not a rejection of you as per say, but a rejected union, the world perfection is used to lightly in society, leaving near or all feeling incomplete,
out there somewhere is a person with unique qualities which in rich yours in unforced unity, may seem you haven't found it yet.
very interesting view, great write Tristan smith, much love xx
I agree with the opening line that, ..'Perfection is a lie,'..no one in this universe is perfect except the almighty,..moreover entire verse has enough potency to deliberate ideas,..good poem.
