Poem -

pessimist?

No more

Why not dream ?
Cast my desires on the wind, and watch them swirl
A tumult in the jetstream I say, very well, let the best ones win
I have always been a pessimist.
Not one to be so open hearted.
Not one to look on the bright side
I always felt my way around in the dark.
But I have seen a teeny ray of light.
A shaft of ethereal vapors.
There is another dimension.
Not so black and white, shade of star light?
I sit and surrender to hope.
It is hard for me.
I am so glued to tragedy.
To victimhood and the losers.
But I heard and saw the angel of grace.
She was there for me, for real
A glowing golden hue and a voice like the ocean.
She paused in her endeavors and glanced my way.
Child of man, stop looking down .
Remember you are made of stardust and  divine breath.
What is there you cannot accomplish?
What adversity or mishap can contain you?
Be of good cheer, you are loved .
Now go forth, let your heart swell and dream.
Do not let your tears fall like rain.
You are loved!
