Phoenix and his resurrection

Phoenix and his resurrection

What rises from the smouldering ashes?
Is it a phantom of a bird?
I can see charred feathered wings yet is the resurrection of Phoenix so absurd?
He lay there cold amongst the cinders
I listened as his life did fade
Feathers fell away in flinders
I suffered for him as I prayed

Halleluyah in the highest
As Phoenix flapped his feathery plume
Angels flew around the fire
I watched in awe the smokey spume
Then in wantonless wonder
I heard the loudest shrilling cry
And from high above his inferno
Phoenix plummeted from the sky

Yes phoenix rose to tell his story
From cold as ice and stiff as stone
Archangels shone amidst his glory
Whence the sunshine was his throne
Alas burning embers are his ashes
Bones and feathers were no more
But they say the soul from Phoenix arose with angels from that floor
And I looked up to the highest heavens and what I watched made me cry
There was the most beautiful bird that I had ever seen
Phoenix flew joyously in that sky

your right short stories are not poetic
and short stories dont have to rhyme
if your telling  a story

Yeah but I cannot appreciate stories on pop and thats what most people do, perhaps they cannot rhyme.. I don’t know, but its hard being a judge coz I have to b honest and I only look for rhyming poems ❤️💕❤️
