The phone call

As i entered my house last night
after working a long hard day
the phone on the wall started ringing
it was the home they called to say.

They said you had passed away peacefully
but before going you had to say
that she wanted me to know she loved me
each and every passing day.

She wanted me to know she'd be there
whenever i needed someone
she said to tell me she'd be by my side
when ever things went wrong.

She said she was proud of me
then she slowly closed her eye's
laid  her head upon her pillow
and with a smile she calmly died.

After hanging up the phone
I got down upon my knee's
looking towards the heavens
God take good care of her please.
