‘Pie in the sky’

‘Pie in the sky’

Unravelled amidst many uncertainties we forge ahead

As I lie penning my poetry within my big, bouncy bed

And who know’s where our destiny is led ?

But I am not wasting time worrying..I will plod on instead..
                               -
Well I say “C’est la vie!!” to Covid-19

I haven’t got a crystal ball to envisage what is seen

And even if I had a one I could not use it..if you know what I mean

I doubt whether any Clairvoyant can see beyond the betwixt and between
                                ~
Days turn to weeks as more months pass us by

As that timelessness of time is but a blink of an eye

And I wonder will we ever get normality or is that just a ‘Pie in the sky’

Now indeed that would be absolutely marvellous.. I cannot tell a lie..

Great poem Jill and a well written thinking poem too, hang in there and one day at at a time and all that.
Things can only get a lot better this year for everyone on the planet.
Just got to play life's waiting game.
Thanks for writing and sharing and you are always a joy to read and learn from.
You never tire when it comes to writing and being so different and original.
Love reading your work and have been keeping yours to last.
Keeping the best till last.
Take care Jill and stay healthy.
