The Little Star

There was a little star
She was a happy, sparkly orb
Carefree and full of heavenly light
She danced when the angels sang
Changing her colors to enhance the radiance of their praise.
One day a dark starĀ
Full of mean thoughts and darkness,Ā
Turned on the little star and saidĀ
"You know you are pathetic you are a useless pile of rock,Ā  you are too small to ever light the night sky, too small to ever effect the planetary spins, you should just go and hide"
Well this just crushed her little heart
Stars can cry and she did for a long time
Seeking to be covered in the storm clouds that night
She knew she was a lot smaller than the rest of the
Heavenly lights
She had always felt that live and joy made up for her tiny glow.
Now she sank down into a gloom she had never known
It blocked her beauty and her glorious gifts.
As she cried one of her tears became a crystal and reflected a rainbow all around her
She felt the presence of the archangels and started to run from their radianceĀ
But they called out to her
Little star have no sorrow forĀ
You are well loved and regarded by the Most High God
This day iit is to be made known that the Holy one of God is born
That the heavenly host are singing gloria and even now the shepherds gather to hear their song.
There are three magi that have travelled a long way and they need a light to guide them to the stable where he is born.
Little star, your light of love has always been the brightest and most beautiful light of all.
Please, if you will, rise above the manger in Bethlehem and show your heavenly light to the weary and broken world.
Giving them the news their savior is born!Ā”
The little star full of the love for father God
Rose to the place above Jesus and Mary.
And her light lit the world that
Night and down through all generations.
Silent night, Holy night

Amen

I dedicate this poem to my son Brian Christopher who is my bright star. He left this world way too early.Ā  But I know God has him in a beautiful placeĀ
Andi am sure he shines so bright fromĀ
Heaven.Ā  Love you son.
Anyone that has lost a loved one has a bright star in heaven.Ā  May you find peace and the strength to go on.
Love and light to allĀ
Sandra
