Pilgrims Lack Of Progress

Pilgrims Lack Of Progress

There's still things left to do, places to see,
you tell me where you would really like to be,
oh  I've done all that luv, enough is enough,
after all this time, why should I huff and puff.

The travel agent had been everywhere we hear,
preferred to stay at home in garden drinking beer;
must do this, you must do that thro' clenched teeth,
best friend died snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef.

I've travelled more than you, lived at ocean blue,
not a back-packer who usually don't know what to do;
how lucky we are now, not living in Yemen or Syria,
or Afghanistan, poor people facing a terrible dilemma.

The Pilgrim Fathers set sail from Plymouth in 1620,
some were Irish, with a name we know being Kennedy.
