Poem -

Pill

In an instant—LIFE!
All the while living it full.
In an instant—DEATH.
Now leaving is your soul?

Now, we remember the past
So giving you were to us!
Subconsciously, thinking you'd last,
But today we prepare your dust.

Days come and go...
And DEATH—for us to grow.
You're a vitamin taken each day
Giving us strength in a way.

Preparing for birth is fun
Like a day out in the sun.
But when death suddenly strikes,
It's like Rain, Sleet, Snow and Ice!

We can pray each day to see the next
Only to wait for the rest to come.
The loss of kin allows a sympathizing friend
Rush the pain to its end.
