Poetic Vows IIII

When I first met you
I was in a dark place
You came to me and said 
“I can help you with my saving grace”
I didn’t know what it was like to be loved
I didn’t know what it was like to be beloved
I didn’t know what it was like, at all
Until I met you and I started to fall
You caught me off guard
When you smiled at me 
All the butterflies in my stomach started flying freely
It’s YOU  who makes me a better person
There’s no one else, I would have chosen
Trying to become better is what I wanted to accomplish
So its, YOU, who I will forever cherish
I’m walking down the aisle today 
And all of my past betrayal is floating away
I see you standing there waiting for me
That’s how I knew, this was meant to be
