Poison in His KIss

Poison in His KIss

Poison in His Kiss

You say I think he’s cheating on me
I say I find it hard for me not to agree

Where’s he been on all of those long nights?
Like a secret, swept under the rug out of sight

He says he loves you, but do you believe him
I’d say the time has come to either sink or swim

There’s plenty of men left in the sea
Try to break those chains and fly free

He surely does break all of the rules
He tries his best just to play you for a fool

He sees himself as lord over all of the land
Smashers your dreams like castles made of sand

He keeps you constantly waiting for the telephone ring
When all is said and done his sincerity doesn’t mean a thing

His ever demanding needs are hard to meet
Are you afraid this is spelling your self defeat?

He makes an argument from your every single word
He is the most blasphemous person that I’ve ever heard

When we go out driving in your car
He always says you’ll never get far

Your relationship is a battle that nobody wins
So I ask you again what are you going to do with him

All the while he’s busy digging for gold
Do you really need him to have and to hold?

He tells you I will love you till the end of time
But it doesn’t take much to change his mind

Who knows what else he has in store
Isn’t it time to show him to the door?

He is just like a spider continually weaving his web
Get caught and you will feel you are better off dead

Why don’t you just throw caution to the wind?
Plant a new seed of love and begin again

I think that you are lost somewhere in the mist
And that you are addicted to the poison in his kiss
