Poor old Shep 🐏

Poor old Shep 🐏

Poor old Shep the sheepdog missed his flock of black faced ewes

As he limped through the farmyard listening to the Friesian cow moos

He felt his days were numbered on the farm, he was getting old with overuse

So feeling sorry for himself, he lay down in the hay shed and snuggled in to snooze

But clucking and quacking made it hard for him to sleep

Farmer Teds ducks and chickens noticed Shep the border collie lying in a heap

And they had heard him “Bow wow wowing” with a doggy weep

Why on earth wasn’t Farmer Ted’s righthand shepherd dog herding  his sheep ?

So quacking and clucking they hurried to find old farmer Ted

The Cockerel was crowing on the crack of dawn, Ted was in his bed

And as he stretched whilst yawning his better half said

“What a racket out there, something must be wrong this morning, in the farmstead!!”

Well the first thing that old farmer Ted did was to shout for Shep the sheepdog, his righthand

But no collie dog ran to him like usual, why was he ignoring Dads command ?

And after searching in and out of every farm building, Ted found Shep, but he could not understand

Why his shepherd dog and faithful friend, had curled up in the hay shed and drifted off to dreamland

“So this is where you are ? wake up you sleepy head, we have work to do today” his old master said..

And immediately Shep woke up, he had been completely misled

“Come by Shep” he jumped up on his masters whistle, saw his flock of black faced ewes and fled!!!…
