Pop The Cherry, Tear the Veil

"Jesus says: 'Let him who seeks cease not to seek until he finds: when he finds he will be astonished; and when he is astonished he will wonder, and will reign over the universe!'" G. Thomas, Saying #2

I'm sorry I tore up your letter to the tooth fairy

And that I recorded your dad planting gifts under the Christmas tree

Sorry I revealed that 'The Birds and the Bees' isn't about birds or bees

I wish I could have kept my big trap shut

And offered you a candle to pray to ghosts of saints

And roll out a rug for you to recite those incantations in that mysterious tongue you don't need to comprehend

I am sorry I took away your innocence and was not a good friend

I wish I had never asked questions or dug the well so deep

I wish I could go back to ignorance and be a blissful sheep

But someone had said, "Seek and you shall find."

And it really seemed a good idea at the time
