Soldiers dying lying all around me

Soldiers screaming crying with fear

Poppy poppy how do you feel?
Sad their wounds I can not heal

Sulphur, fear blood rivers from hell

Poppy poppy what will you say?
I hope they live to see another day

Poppy poppy how do you wish it could be?
Humans living in happy sobriety 

Poppy poppy what would you do if you only could?
Cover the fields with me instead of dead bodies and blood

Poppy poppy why do you weep and cry?
So many innocents didn't deserve to die 

Poppy poppy the fighting and dying has come to an end
Maybe for some, but for others the battle scars will never mend ?
