The power of Poetry, more powerful than we may ever know.

Poetry the best remedy for me to remain sober, the only one I know.

The more poems I write, the less temptation calls me to fight.

The power of Poetry, more powerful than any drug I’ve known.

With each poem I write, the less depressed I become.

Poetry is the only witness to all of my sickness, the only one I know. 

The power of Poetry, more powerful than we may ever know.

If only more were prescribed it, then maybe they could feel better too. 

The power of Poetry, for I have discovered and by doing so…

My truth is becoming uncovered, with each bad memory I have buried, Poetry never forgot.
