powerless

I never said yes but your  hand wondered I was frozen in fear powerless to do anything about it 
I never asked or said I wanted it yet your hand got closer it never paused I was powerless 

In the car heading home after realising I was an object nothing more tears running down my face like a waterfall I was powerless to control my emotions 
At the kitchen table facing a stranger eyes as prickly as a porcupine I explain where his hands went 

4 months down the line I’m stronger 
As the keys klinkle I feel powerful as I imagine the power it’s taken to get here 
That day you where powerless 

As a victim never be told you are powerless you are the most powerful and strong person there is
